
Aloja Local History Collection
A chance to learn about the history of Aloja and its surroundings, to see exhibitions dedicated to local people. The Aloja Museum was founded on 1 January 2001.
Currently, the museum preserves the memory of poet Auseklis, chief conductor Indriķis Zīle, local historian and teacher Antons Galevius, and artist Arvīds Galevius. The museum also collects, preserves, and researches testimonies related to the spiritual, material, and cultural life of Aloja town and parish, as well as identifies notable figures from the region. The museum's collection includes several 19th–20th century artifact collections.
