Ozolmuiža manor house was built at the end of the 18th century for Count Georg Johann Mellin. In 1889 an extension was built to the castle - the Count's study. From 1952 the manor housed the Ozols Agricultural School, and from 1993 the Ozolmuiža Primary School, which closed in the summer of 2020. read more ››

A fishing boat donated to the town by fisherman Visvaldis Šrenks in November 2006 is on display at 10 Rīgas Street, Salacgrīva. European Union regulations prevent our fishermen from developing their fishing industry. On the contrary, it has to be reduced. Visvaldis had a choice: give the boat to the city for non-profit use outside the fishery or give it to be scrapped. Visvaldis chose the first option. read more ››

In 1872 the Lāndhof (Lāndhof) manor farm was separated from Svētciems manor. In the same year, the manor house of Lāņi Manor was completed and until 1940 was owned by Baron Reinhard von Fegezak, an agronomist by qualification. The Lāņi Manor House was also called a hunting lodge, because of the hunting trips of the lords from abroad - Germany, Italy. read more ››

Height 2.1 m, width 3 m, length 6 m, surface volume 16 m3. This moulded stone has sharp, broken geometric lines, vertical lateral edges, cracks, jagged edges, without any rounded lines. The unusually elongated shape and sharp edges suggest that the Kutkāji boulder has not retained its original bulk and rounded shape, but has been stonecut. read more ››
