Guest house "Mežupes"

Geological and geomorphological natural monument, located in the Salacgrīva parish of Limbaži municipality, in a forest. It has been under state protection since 2001 and is one of the 10 largest boulders in Latvia. More info ››

The Burtnieki Series sandstone outcrop is up to 3.5 meters high and about 50 meters wide. The outcrop is a beautiful shade of red. In the northern part of the cliff, where the Ežurga River flows into the sea with a waterfall, the cliffs are smooth and approximately 10 meters wide. More info ››

Height 2.1 m, width 3 m, length 6 m, surface volume 16 m3. This moulded stone has sharp, broken geometric lines, vertical lateral edges, cracks, jagged edges, without any rounded lines. The unusually elongated shape and sharp edges suggest that the Kutkāji boulder has not retained its original bulk and rounded shape, but has been stonecut. More info ››
