Ungurpils Mill Lake
Ungurpils Mill Lake is an artificial lake created by the flooding of the Jogla River. It is unique for its floating islands, which were formed after the lake was flooded. More info ››
On the shore of Ungurpils Mill Lake, with the help of the “Ungurpils Lake Owner” association, a wheelchair track – a nature knowledge classroom – was opened in 2017. The environmental object, a wooden track with informative platforms, stretches 345 meters along the shore of Ungurpils Lake. Each platform is equipped with an informational board where visitors can learn about the history of Ungurpils, the Mill Lake, and the park’s trees and bushes. At the end of the wooden boardwalk, everyone can test the knowledge they have gathered along the track.
Next to it is the building of the Ungurpils Library "Sala." The new building was constructed as a low-energy consumption building.
