Igate Church of St. John the Baptist and St. Mary Magdalene

The creation of the Igate church began in September 2010, when the Lutheran pastor consecrated the foundation stone for the church's construction.
In June 2011, the church's foundation was built, and in July, the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Riga, Metropolitan Zbignevs Stankevičs, consecrated the church's construction. In January 2012, the Roof Beam Festival was celebrated. On January 18, 2013, the church was consecrated by the Archbishop-Metropolitan of Riga, Zbignevs Stankevičs, with the participation of the Archbishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, Jānis Vanags, the deputy bishop of the Baptist Union of Latvia, Pēteris Eisāns, the priest of the Orthodox Church, Valērijs, and approximately 130 representatives of various denominations and church supporters.
