Lake Katvari
Lake Katvari is a through-flow lake with an oval-shaped basin and low, gently sloping shores. One of the most notable features for visitors might be the beautiful wooden boardwalk that leads into the lake, offering a new perspective of the surrounding area.
The boardwalk provides a short walk along a wooden path that ends at a larger platform, where a small rest area with wooden tables and benches has been set up for travelers exploring Latvia – a perfect spot to regain energy and peacefully enjoy the lake’s charm. Fishing in Lake Katvari
Licensed fishing is organized in Lake Katvari. Remember, in addition to a valid fishing, crayfishing, or spearfishing card, you need a fishing license to fish in the lake. You can purchase the license at www.manacope.lv. Licensed fishing is organized by the association “Katvaru ezers”, +371 29425534, katvaruezers@inbox.lv.
Licensed fishing is allowed throughout the lake area – from the shore, from the ice, or by boat. Fish species found in the lake include carp, perch, goby, crucian carp, pike, tench, and roach.
