Ainaži used to have three lighthouses, but today there is a third one, which is still working and showing the way to sailors. The lighthouse was built in 1930, initially only for the needs of the Port of Ainaži. It is 18 metres high, with a fire height of 22 metres and a visibility of 12 nautical miles (22 km). The lighthouse is located on a hill, next to the former narrow-gauge railway, directly opposite the road that used to lead to the Ainaži port dock.
