The ceramics stove Naborigama
In the summer of 2007, a ceramic kiln or Naborigama was built in Salacgrīva, on the left bank of the Salaca River, where Krasta Street bends the old apple garden.
It is a ceramic kiln capable of firing porcelain at temperatures above 1300 degrees.
Once a year, in July, in the middle of summer, as if the summer heat were not enough, the chamber kiln is heated for a whole week to achieve the much needed heat and after a week of firing, the artists who have always put their works in the kiln to achieve surprising and unpredictable results gather for the opening of the kiln.
